Who are you?

To steal a bit better done by our friend porphyre:

Who are you?

I don't know how obvious it is, but I will talk to and take friend requests from anybody. I already have issues with names - one guy will tell you I could never remember his name in person, but even he doesn't know we had been Facebook friends for a couple weeks before I connected Dave the person with Dave the name. (It doesn't help that his profile picture isn't is face.)

So: Who are you? How's it going? What do you like doing? Why do birds suddenly appear when you are near? And anything else you'd like to add.

As long as you're not breaking kitties.

I'm that guy who keeps posting stupid pictures on roller-coasters as his profile pics. :P

I'm the same way about names. There are tons of people I know through various online forums (like Livejournal) whose real names I still don't know - even though I'm friended with them on Facebook. Like, there are a bunch who I know all came from LJ political communities, but I don't actually know which person matches to which LJ handle (aside from a few, yourself included.)

(I'm like that in real life too. There are too many people who I routinely interact with who come up and say hi, shoot the breeze with me for a bit, and after they walk away, I say to myself: "Shit... what was that dude's name? Where did I actually originally meet him?")
