I couldn't reply on useless_facts, so here's my suggestion:

Get Tidy Cats Scoop "for multiple cats" type. It covers almost any smell, plus it's very tidy and scoopable, as it were. I'd send you what I have left, but the shipping! Too much. Mr. Merlin Man always had stinky stinkiness, and he was the only cat, but the multi cat stuff works wonders, really.
